Re: Loan Sharks experience & lessons!

Just move forward.

The good thing Jae is it teaches you to be stronger during crunch time and it makes you wiser. Ako nga 'til now puro problema pa din.

Re: Loan Sharks experience & lessons!

Re: Loan Sharks experience & lessons!
Ako hindi naman sa utang but I lost my van sa friend ko worth 500K sat year. The van was on display in my shop and my friend told me that he has a buyer.Since we had previous transactions at ok naman.I gave him the van. After a few days he went back and said he needed all the papers kasi loan daw nun buyer sa bank. And that was the last time I saw him and the van.Wala akong nahabol because open deed of sale lahat orig OR/CR nasa kanya. After a few weeks of kulitan he issued a check but it bounced. This friend of mine drives expeds,x5's,ducati's,jags.I dont know what happened to him bat sya nagkaganoon.Nadamay pati ako. When he consigns units to me( bmw's and suvs) iniiwan nya lahat ng papers sa akin!
I later learned na hindi lang pala ako..almost all of his friends tinira nya..yung isang common friend namin five vehicles natangay nya.
Mahirap talaga umahon but I consider myself blessed pa rin kasi with God graces I was able to pull through.( may kwento pa yan actually dalawamg vehicle yan sinoli nya yung Rav 4 naawa siguro sa akin) Yun nga lang pag naiisip ko yung nawala....waahhhhh . sayang!

though we've found jobs right away, the thought that it was safe for us already having a regular income was after all not enough. we started with low-paying jobs just so we could keep up with the expenses. and we just could not.
like many normal families here, we resorted to getting loans of some sort. nope, walang sanglaan dito. and wala ring salary loan from job or SSS. me mga "advance payday loans" silang tinatawag where you can show your paystub and get a loan out of it provided you issue a check in advance with a 20% interest in 15 days! that's a rip off! but dahil nga sa matinding pangangailangan, wala kang option.
once is never enough, so to speak. why? after 15 days, you get to pay your principal amount loaned plus interest. malaking bawas yun sa sweldo mo. so the next 15 days will again be a trip to hell! eh papano pa nga magkakasya yung natitirang sahod? eh di the next thing that 'makes sense' is to get another "payday advance loan". there, the cycle continues... and worse, you can never repay your debt fully and recover because your income is just the same. the cycle goes on and on and on. the interest piles up but your income does not.
so the next time you know it, you're into another loan provider kase nga kelangan mo ng another loan para maka recover ka sa losses mo pansamantala. little do you know na ang loan mo, nagka doble-doble na! nangungutang ka ng pambayad! it doesn't make sense. but since wala kang option, sige na lang....
loan ka... tapos pagdating ng sahod, ibabayad mo yung sweldo mo. so wala nang matitira. so, magre-reloan ka naman... and since "good payer" ka, they'll give you bigger loan (of course, bigger interest yun!). akala mo ngayon maganda kase nga medyo lumaki ang pera mo (eh napalaki rin ang utang mo!). now, to be able to pay-off one debt from one loan provider, you would opt to secure another loan from a different provider nga para mabayaran mo yung isa. there... it all begins, not ends, that way. you can never free yourself from a piling debt kase hindi tumataas ang sahod mo to repay your loans and you are paying your debts from reloans! plus, ang pinakamasakit, you are heavily pressed to paying a very high interest. imagine, $20 per $100 borrowed!
unfortunately, we became victims ourselves of loansharks. at the onset, we thought it was convenient because, yes, it has helped us one way or the other. but if you cannot up your source of income to offset your loan, that's it. welcome to hell!
masakit, masaklap at grabeng stressful na experience ito for us. we truthfully became penniless dahil nga ang sahod namin, nakalaan na agad na pambayad. at kulang pa. we went through this ordeal for months. we had to do double-jobs just to pay the loans off. my wife had to work 16 hrs a day just to keep up. i had to skip meals and coffee just to save. the kids were deprived of sunday specials just so we could save a bit more. no malling, no pasyal, no MacDo, no toys...
and when the heaviest of burdens hit you, you'll just find yourself in tears and crying for help. and praying every minute....
I totally agree with you jae and that's what we are experiencing right now. It gives us alot of stressful moments thinking about it. we wonder kng kelan kmi maka ahon. still hoping and praying. higpit sinturon talaga!

Re: Loan Sharks experience & lessons!
Masarap sa abroad kasi andyan lahat ng credit available sa iyo when you need it pero the sad part eh yung hindi mo namalayan na baon ka na pala.
Dito sa HK, I can loan money from the bank 6 times of my salary and they will release it in 2 days.
