paul, pa'no yung mga substitutes like kung walang kaffir lime, galangal, etc? minsan kase sadyain ang asian stores dito if ou realy need something authentic. pwede kaya substitute ingredient lang ilagay?

benny, omit mo na lng yung tamarind paste kng nakakapangitim ng sabaw, try mo rin lagyan ng 2tbsp ng evapoarated milk ganun kse ang nilalagay d2.

- 1 (16 oz.) can straw mushrooms, drained and rinsed
- 1 small ripe tomato, cut into wedges 1/4 inch thick
- 1 small lime, squeezed
- 2 sprigs fresh cilantro
Preparation
Bring water to boil over high heat in a medium-sized saucepan. Add the lemon grass, galangal, kaffir lime leaf, fish sauce and tamarind paste (break apart the tamarind paste with your fingers as you add it). Add the shrimp, bring to a boil and cook 3 minutes. Add the onion, nam prik pao and straw mushrooms. Boil for another 7 minutes until the shrimp is cooked through. Add the chile peppers and tomatoes. Turn off the heat. Add the lime juice. Taste to adjust the seasoning, adding fish sauce to taste. Garnish with cilatantro if desired and serve. Serves 3 to 4.
usualy ang inoorder ko rito yung tom yum luam mit.- ibig sabihin halo halong sahog. hipon. pusit, maya-maya isda, pork and chicken. masarap talaga.
Paul, I tried this recipe the other day masarap din sya kaya lang ang sabaw medyo nangitim dahil sa tamarind paste buti na lang apat lang na fresh chili ang nilagay ko kundi di talaga makain sa ang-hang...

Uhhmmmm ...ang sarap naman nito..Thanks Paul..Paborito ko rin ito specially during winter...I tried cooking this one pero di ko makuha ang sarap na nakakain ko sa restaurant... yup mas masarap yung ibat-ibang seafood mas malasa....I will try your recipe.....

PHAD THAI (THAI FRIED NOODLES WITH SHRIMP) | |
1 lb. thin Thai rice stick noodles 10 med. size shrimps, shelled and cleaned 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 c. bean sprouts (preferably fresh) 1 tbsp. nampla (fish sauce) 1/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. ketchup 1 tbsp. minced garlic 1/2 c. vegetable oil GARNISH: 1 tbsp. chopped spring onion 1 tbsp. chopped fresh coriander leaves 2 lemon wedges 1 tbsp. coarsely ground peanuts Additional raw bean sprouts Dash of chili powder or red pepper Soak noodles in warm water for 15-20 minutes, drain. Place bean sprouts in cold water. In a large frying pan or wok, heat oil and saute garlic over medium to high heat until light brown. Add shrimp and stir-fry until well done. Add sugar, nampla, ketchup to wok, stirring together. Add eggs, then noodles, and stir-fry mixture until noodles turn orange. Drain bean sprouts and add to wok. Stir-fry another 2-3 minutes. Put on serving plate with raw bean sprouts arranged on side. Sprinkle top with ground peanuts, spring onion, coriander, chili powder and garnish with lemon wedges. Serve hot. |

yung mga madaling lutuin lang...
joms, d ako marunong magluto ng phad thai kse bumilbili na lng kami nyan d2. actually street food yan d2. almost d'same ang mga foods d2 everyday. dami kse recado ang mga yan.madaling lutuin matagal at mabusisi ang preparations nila.hayaan mo hanapan kita nyan.

yung mga madaling lutuin lang...
na try mo na ba yong tom yam soup..yan maanghang at madalas seafood ang halo...
marasap din yong pandan chicken ..yong grilled chicken na binalot sa pandan leaves..then with matching pineapple rice..rice na nakalagay mismo sa pinya then maraming sahog, seafoods , pasas at iba pa..karamihan ng luto nila ay may gata..
