i think marami sa batch natin ang marunong magluto. si paul alam ko mahilig magluto since HS pa tsaka si myemye.

My tita says the best way to palambot any meat daw is to use palayok. I've tried it and it works talaga, promise. The only problem now is how to get the palayok to you guys, ha ha

nakabili si misis ng ox tail... nakatsamba dun sa maliit na asian store! konti lang kase 1.6KL na lang ang natira so kinuha na lang nya.

nakngpatatas... 3 hrs ko pinakuluan, di natinag! dumating na lang mga bisita eh sintigas pa rin ng galing sa freezer! so ang ginawa ko, dinagdagan ko ng gulay -- sangkatutak na talong, sitaw at petchay! ayun... enjoy sila! kare-kareng gulay! bwahahaha!

yep! madalas ako magluto ng mga ganyang putahe sa pinas paul. dito lang bihira kase nga bihira ang mga pinoy na rekado not unless sasadyain talagang mag byahe. dito sa burlington, halos walang asian store kaya kapos sa rekado. biglaan kase request ni misis kaya tagilid ako sa preparation. kung sakali man, baka caldereta na lang kase mas madali ang rekado. pineapple juice, tomato paste at konti pang dagdag, ayos na!

yes bro ben... me pinupuntahan kaming asian stores sa mississauga kaya lang kase, wala na akong time kase sa sabado na ang celebration. me pasok ako till friday night. unfortunately, ang hirap dito sa burlington makahanap ng mga oriental food. iisa lang ang asian store dito, di naman kumpleto. parang sari-sari store lang. kaya ayun, wala akong choice kundi mag improvise na na lang ng kare-kare.

dun sa utol mo sa mississauga, daming malalaking asian stores. dun kami talaga nago-grocery once in a while.

Medyo hindi na masarap kapag frozen at ang tagal palambutin.

Jae may nakita akong oxtail sa grocery store(forgot the name of the store)nung nasa Toronto ako last year, di mo nga mahalata na oxtail sya hanggat di mo mabasa kasi naka pack at naka cut na at walang balat malinis sya . Then pumunta din kami sa isang instik na tindahan lahat ng klase ng karne nandoon na at doon ka makakabili ng buong buntot ng baka.....

bday ko na next week and my wife has set an advanced plan for this weekend. birthday din kase nung isang friend namin dito so we decided to celebrate it this weekend together, dito lang sa bahay.

kanya-kanyang luto na lang. i am planning to cook kare0kare (request ni misis) but my problem is, bihira dito ang oxtail. kung meron man, hindi na rin fresh. am thinking of instead using plain beef meat most probably beef ribs na lang. pwede kaya? well, it's beef so i guess it can be done pero syempre, mawawala yung authenticity ng pagiging kare-kare.

aside from beef ribs, would you have any idea pa? buntot kase mas mahirap hanapin dito...
