Re: wireless modems/routers
Nice choice jae.pareho tayo laptop inspiron by Dell.old model lang yun akin last year pa.
madali lang ikabit yung wireless modem.Im using D link.kahit medjo malayo ok parin, itong kapitbhay ko nga libre na sa internet kaso ayaw mag share
pag nasa hotspots ka or wifi zone bigla lang man yan mag acquire ng signal..i mean yang Dell. Hindi ka mahihirapan I'm sure

Re: wireless modems/routers
yup you need a router, based on my experience it works well pag isa lang ang gagamit using wireless, pag may ka share ka di rin tatagal router mo maganada lang in first 4 months, pero mas mahal mas durable..depende rin sa usage mo kung downloads at streaming dapat solo mo lang, 512 mb tulad ng sabi ni Jose Gil "Jun" ay ok na yon..goodluck sa braless ehe wireless hunting mo!!

Your laptop will search for any available signal so you need to select your own router. Once you made a connection, automatic na yan tuwing nasa haus ka kokonek na siya dyan.
Kapag nasa hotspots ka naman, same thing just turn on your wireless radio or perhaps turn it on always na lang then some available connection are not secured so you just connect to it or if password is given to you, just enter it and you'll be able to connect.
me mga d-link and g-link ako nakikita. me mga iba $37 lang, yung iba naman $90. some are small, some are large. does it matter? or yung speed ba yun ang importante? me mga nkikita akong me nakalagay x2, me x4....

wireless modems/routers
sa mga IT.. i recently bought a laptop (Dell INspiron 15 series). it has a built WiFi ek-ek... what do i need to connect it wireless? router? modem? me nakikita akong mga G-link, D-link at me mga bluetooth pa. which is which? am trying to use it wirelessly at home...
i haven't tried it, though, in WiFi hotspots areas. which i know will work. as we speak, am using this with a cable. i haven't tried using wireless before. no idea how to go about it.
sorry... bobo ako pagdating sa mga ganyan! hahaha!
